Regional Steering Group Meeting Highlights Progress and Future Plans for BOMCA project

The annual Regional Steering Group meeting of the “Border Management Programme in Central Asia (BOMCA-10)” was held on February 20. The event brought together key stakeholders from Central Asia, international partners, and the project’s implementing team to evaluate progress, plan future activities, and discuss strategic directions for the upcoming year.

As the Lithuanian State Border Guard Service is one of the agencies involved in implementing the project, the meeting included the participation of the representatives from the Lithuanian State Border Guard Service.

During the meeting, participants reviewed the Programme’s progress across its thematic areas and reflected on its achievements over the past year. Component leaders presented key outcomes, shared insights from national steering group meetings, and outlined proposed thematic activities for 2025. Discussions also focused on recommendations to strengthen Programme implementation and included updates on the upcoming 11th phase of BOMCA.

Launched in April 2021 and funded by the European Union, BOMCA-10 aims to enhance security and stability in Central Asia. For more information about BOMCA-10 and its activities, please visit https://www.bomca-eu.org/en/
