Lithuanian Border Guard Hosts Kyrgyz Delegation to Share EU Border Management Experience

Vilnius, May 14, 2025 – The Lithuanian State Border Guard Service, within the framework of the BOMCA Programme and in close cooperation with the Latvian Border Guard, is hosting a high-level delegation from the Kyrgyz Border Service.

The study visit is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen border security cooperation between the European Union and Central Asia. It aims to share EU best practices in integrated border management. During the visit, the Lithuanian State Border Guard Service presented its strategies, including risk analysis and coordination mechanisms. The agenda also included a field visit to the Lithuanian border with Belarus.

This initiative supports Kyrgyzstan’s efforts to implement its 2025–2030 Integrated Border Management Strategy and strengthens regional and international cooperation in border security.
